Cottonwood Heights is the city the two Cottonwood canyons are named for in every driver's directions: it wraps the benches between the two mouths, and Wasatch Boulevard through town is the approach road to both. Its weather is the mouths' weather. When Cottonwood Heights is at the rain snow line, both canyon roads are in transition, and the tops are in a different season entirely.
