Sandy weather

Sandy is Little Cottonwood's city: the suburbs at the canyon's foot, the park and ride lots, and a second enforcement agency, Sandy City police, at the SR-210 mouth on storm days. Sandy's forecast is the valley end of the Little Cottonwood story. It will tell you if the storm reached the bench; the canyon's 3,700 foot climb decides the rest, and the Alta end of the corridor page is where that answer lives.

Sandy drivers live the canyon's rhythm year round: ski traffic on winter weekends, trailhead traffic all summer, and the occasional closure day when the whole valley's powder plans reroute at the mouth below their neighborhoods. Getting around: The Little Cottonwood mouth at Wasatch Blvd is about 10 minutes from central Sandy; the UTA ski bus park and ride lots are on the way.
